Cozy Grove places players in the role of a Spirit Scout on a haunted island, where they gradually befriend and help restless ghostly bears to move on by completing daily tasks, gathering resources, and restoring life and colour to the environment. 

Blending relaxed, real time progression with narrative driven character arcs, Cozy Grove emphasizes routine, discovery, and emotional storytelling, as the island slowly evolves through player actions and interactions, creating a gentle sense of progression tied to both mechanics and world transformation, while encouraging players to remember to take a rest.

The Autumn Update expanded this core experience with seasonal content and quality of life features, enhancing player expression and interaction with the world. Key additions included interior tent decoration, adoptable pet cats, new collectible spirit bunnies, a photography system, a Halloween themed event, and a new harvesting accordion tool for efficient resource gathering.
